KingAgroot’s New Innovation Center Launched its Construction
Recently, the construction of KingAgroot’s new Innovation Center was officially started in Huangdao District of Qingdao. R&D has always been the engine of KingAgroot’s growth. As the volume of new compound exploration increases and biotechnology research goes deeper, our original R&D center is no longer sufficient. Under the strong support of the Huangdao District government of Qingdao, KingAgroot decided to invest more than RMB 400 million to build a new innovation center in the Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone (Sino-German EcoPark).

In this new Innovation Center, the building area covers about 51mu and the green area covers about 41mu. The building area includes a modern intelligent greenhouse with a height of 7 meters and a total area of 10,000 square meters. After the completion of the center, the total laboratory area will reach 63,000 square meters. With spacious environment and advanced facilities, more than 1,000 research personnel will be accommodated here after completion. It will become the engine of global herbicide and biotechnology breeding innovation and thus laying foundation for KingAgroot to realize its mission of “ask science for life, eliminate hunger for the world”.

The Innovation Center also has a professional garden design for the greening part. Basketball, badminton and tennis courts, gyms, as well as libraries and other facilities will be equipped in this beautiful environment. When open in June 2020 as expected, KingAgroot’s new Innovation Center will surely become a palace of science and a paradise for innovation.

The location of KingAgroot Innovation Center in Qingdao
The location of the Innovation Center - Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark is the first sustainable development cooperation demonstration project constructed together by Chinese and German governments. The Ecopark is situated in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao, which is the ninth state-level new area of China, with Jiaozhou Bay expressway in the south, Xiaozhushan scenic spot in the northeast, Mumashan ecopath in the north. The planned area is 11.6 square kilometers, the expansion area is 29 square kilometers, and the long-term planning area is 66 square kilometers.
