On December 12th, the 37th Heilongjiang Plant Protection Information Exchange and Pesticide Machinery Trade Fair was inaugurated in Changchun, Heilongjiang Province. KingAgroot CropScience made its debut with a variety of new pesticides and seeds, showcasing its comprehensive and innovative solutions to boost agricultural development in Northeast China, thereby making its own contribution to fostering new quality productive forces in agriculture and safeguarding national food security.
New Pesticides: Innovative Plant Protection Solutions for Sustainable Development
Currently, the plant protection industry is undergoing profound changes, with new technologies and concepts continuously emerging. How to leverage the power of science and technology to improve agricultural efficiency and quality is a critical issue that demands immediate attention and resolution. As an agricultural biotech company with a strong cropscience R&D team, KingAgroot adheres to technological innovation and is dedicated to providing growers with more efficient and environmentally-friendly plant protection solutions.
At this fair, KingAgroot showcased a range of launched products, including the patented rice herbicides Flusulfinam (FSM) and Tripyrasulfone (TPS), the patented non-selective herbicide Flufenoximacil (FFO), and the patented corn herbicide Fenpyrazone (FPZ). Meanwhile, it also displayed the upcoming products such as the soil-applied rice herbicide Cinflubrolin, the non-selective herbicide Fluchloraminopyr-tefuryl (FCA), and the cash crop herbicide Broclozone.
Rice Product Line
Tripyrasulfone (TPS)
Tripyrasulfone (TPS), independently created by KingAgroot, was launched in 2020. Over the past four years, its series products have assisted rice growers in Northeast China in tackling resistant weeds such as barnyard grass (Echinochloa crus-galli), late watergrass (Echinochloa phyllopogon) and southern cutgrass (Leersia hexandra) in direct-seeded rice.
Flusulfinam (FSM)
Flusulfinam (FSM), as the new-generation HPPD-inhibiting herbicide in rice independently developed by KingAgroot, was approved for registration in September 2024. Its series products, including “稻舞” and “稻普瑞”, will also offer new solutions to control resistant grasses such as barnyard grass (Echinochloa crus-galli) and late watergrass (Echinochloa phyllopogon), as well as some broadleaf weeds and sedges in rice.
Cinflubrolin
Cinflubrolin, as a fatty acid thioesterases (FAT) inhibitor to be launched by KingAgroot, is a soil-applied herbicide in rice, with additional early post-emergence foliar activity and long persistence. Upon its market launch, it will provide a new option for the control of resistant grasses and some sedges in rice by soil treatments.
Non-Selective Product Line
Flufenoximacil (FFO)
Flufenoximacil (FFO), as a non-selective PPO-inhibiting herbicide independently developed by KingAgroot, was approved for registration in September 2024. It shows many improved characteristics such as broader spectrum, fast action, high activity, stable performance under low temperature, and environmental friendliness. Thus, the launch of Flufenoximacil and its series products such as “快如风” and “速普瑞”, will reshape the landscape of the non-selective herbicide market and inaugurate a new era of non-selective herbicides.
Fluchloraminopyr-tefuryl (FCA)
Fluchloraminopyr-tefuryl (FCA) is another new non-selective auxin herbicide to be launched by KingAgroot in the future. It has high activity, broader spectrum, and stable performance under low temperature. In addition, it also shows excellent effect against various resistant weeds and a longer weed control period compared with mainstream solutions.
Corn Product Line
Fenpyrazone (FPZ)
Fenpyrazone (FPZ) is the third-generation HPPD-inhibiting herbicide independently developed by KingAgroot. Its “Early Win Plan” is designed to provide growers with more precise and scientific solutions for weed control in corn, thus enabling numerous growers to achieve bountiful corn harvests since its release.
Product Line for Soybean, Peanut and Cash Crops
Broclozone
Broclozone, as a Deoxy-D-Xylulose Phosphate (DOXP) synthase inhibitor to be launched by KingAgroot, has both soil and foliar activity, and can effectively control grasses and broadleaf weeds including barnyard grass (Echinochloa crus-galli), foxtail (Setaria spp.), lambsquarters (Chenopodium album), Asian copperleaf (Acalypha australis) and smartweed (Polygonum spp.), making it suitable for various dryland crops.
In the future, KingAgroot will continue to introduce more innovative products and technical solutions. By 2030, more than 13 compounds covering herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and other products, are expected to be introduced into market, so as to provide more efficient, environmentally-friendly and sustainable plant protection services for global agricultural production.
New Seeds: “Kingfield” Seed Series Makes a Grand Debut
With the mission of “Ask science for life to relieve global hunger”, KingAgroot has always been committed to improving the efficiency and quality of world agricultural production from two aspects: new pesticide innovation and biotech breeding.
In the field of biotech breeding, KingAgroot has developed various new genes with herbicide tolerance (including tolerance to our patented herbicides like Flufenoximacil and Fluchloraminopyr-tefuryl), insect resistance and disease resistance. Meanwhile, KingAgroot has also developed two proprietary techniques, namely Cas9-mediated sequential editing (CSE) and gene knock-up (KSE). Currently, KingAgroot has established a commercial biotech breeding system, and delivers elite seed varieties of corn, soybean, canola and other crops under its “Kingfield” seed brand, aimed to improve crop yield and quality.
During this fair, the “Kingfield” seed series attracted considerable attention, including the soybean variety “黑农 531” highly recommended by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, and the corn varieties “清田玉 704” and “清田玉 503” independently bred by KingAgroot.
In addition, KingAgroot also displayed five new upcoming corn varieties, including “清田玉 605” and “清田玉 712”. In the future, more “Kingfield” seed varieties with herbicide tolerance, insect resistance and disease resistance will gradually be commercialized in China and globally, significantly improving agricultural productivity.
Technological innovation has played a crucial role in accelerating the development of new quality productive forces in agriculture and securing stable and increased food production in China. As a key player, KingAgroot will insist in innovation and self-driven evolution, and is committed to becoming a key force in global agri-tech innovation and making more contributions to promoting the sustainable industry development and safeguarding national food security.
