At the end of April 2022, KingAgroot’s three new patented compounds (namely KAI-141012 (Fluchloraminopyr-tefuryl), QYNS101 (Flufenoximacil) and QYR601 (Flusulfinam) were approved for the first time in the world in Cambodia and expected to be sold in Cambodia within this year. It marks a second wave of global product launching for KingAgroot.
It is reported that the registration of KAI-141012 (Fluchloraminopyr-tefuryl), QYNS101 (Flufenoximacil) and QYR601 (Flusulfinam) in China has also entered the homestretch and they are expected to be launched successively from the end of 2022 to 2024. Therefore, KingAgroot is ushering in a new wave of commercialization of patented compounds after Cypyrafluone, Bipyrazone, Tripyrasulfone and Fenpyrazone.
KAI-141012 (Fluchloraminopyr-tefuryl), independently developed by KingAgroot, is a new-generation systematic burndown herbicide with long-lasting residual activity. With a very broad weed control spectrum, it can effectively control glyphosate resistant/tolerant weed species, such as horseweed (Erigeron canadensis), dayflower (Commelina communis), field bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis), goosegrass (Eleusine indica), southern cutgrass (Leersia hexandra), field horsetail (Equisetum arvense), common reed (Phragmites australis), etc. Meanwhile, it also shows excellent effect on difficult-to-control weeds like undershrubs and lianas in forestry and non-croplands. The compound has stable control effect under low temperature and the persistence is over 1.5 to 2 times longer than that of glyphosate. The first product containing this compound as core active ingredient will be launched in China with the brand “冠虎”.
QYNS101 (Flufenoximacil), independently developed by KingAgroot, is a new-generation contact PPO-inhibiting herbicide for nonselective weed control. The compound has ultra-wide weed control spectrum, takes effect extremely fast (obvious symptoms are visible at the same day of application), and also has excellent flexibility for the following crops. In addition, with its extra high activity, the use rate of QYNS101 is as low as several grams a.i./ha, thus it is very environmentally friendly. The first product containing this compound as core active ingredient will be launched in China with the brand “快如风”.
QYR601 (Flusulfinam), independently developed by KingAgroot, is a new-generation HPPD-inhibiting herbicide in rice. It can effectively control barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crusgalli), crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis), Chinese sprangletop (Leptochloa chinensis) and certain broadleaf weeds and sedges through both foliar and soil activity. Distinguished with other HPPD-inhibiting herbicides, it is highly safe to both japonica and indica rice. The first product containing this compound as core active ingredient will be launched in China with the brand “稻普瑞”.
It is worth mentioning that KAI-141012 (Fluchloraminopyr-tefuryl) and QYNS101 (Flufenoximacil) are not only upgrading and updating of conventional burndown herbicides, but also foundations for KingAgroot to conduct biotechnology breeding. KingAgroot is developing corn, soybean, cotton, rice and other crops with both KAI-141012/QYNS101 resistance and other improved traits and such crops are on their way and will be available for field planting soon.
KingAgroot takes “reinventing herbicides” as its commitment in herbicide field. Currently, the developing of the third wave patented herbicides is going smoothly and KingAgroot is starting the registration and commercialization procedure. The ISO common name of these compounds will be published at that time. In the next five years, more compounds developed by KingAgroot will be released in addition to KAI-141012 (Fluchloraminopyr-tefuryl), QYNS101 (Flufenoximacil) and QYR601 (Flusulfinam). By then, KingAgroot will have at least ten novel patented herbicidal compounds and may become a company possessing the highest number of patented herbicidal compounds for sale in the world.
Earlier, KingAgroot’s Cypyrafluone and Bipyrazone were approved in Pakistan, a large agricultural country, which marked the first step to access to international market. (Related links: Cypyrafluone was approved and registered by Pakistan, KingAgroot officially entered the overseas market).
Currently, KingAgroot has conducted trials for the patented compounds in North America, Europe, Australia, South America, India, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions and is carrying out pesticide registrations in several countries/regions. KingAgroot is running 55 pesticide registration items, wherein 36 have been approved and 19 is underway. In the future, KingAgroot will continue to deliver patented products and technologies to more overseas countries and make more contributions to global food safety and sustainable development as a Chinese company.
With the development of overseas market, KingAgroot is in urgent need of professional talents with relevant overseas working experience. Welcome to join us! Meanwhile, we also hope to build long-term strategic cooperative relationship with overseas customers. If you are interested, please contact Mr. Xu (email: xufeixiang@kingagroot.com).
